Mindelo, May 16 (Inforpress) - The Barlavento Chamber of Commerce (CCB) and the International Labour Organisation (ILO) want companies in São Vicente to be ‘sustainable’, to manage processes ‘quickly’ and to benefit of a ‘good environment’ for business.

This is one of the objectives of the training workshop on the ‘Favourable Environment for Sustainable Businesses’, promoted by the ILO and CCB, which kicked off today in Mindelo, aimed at various business institutions, said the chairman of CCB, Jorge Maurício to the press.

‘We've been doing continuous work, really continuous work, to improve the business environment, from the data that makes up “Doing Business”, and now “Business Ready” is being prepared, also by the World Bank, and we have recurring interventions. This workshop, promoted and financed by the ILO, also has this mission,’ he explained.

According to Jorge Maurício, the key message from companies and entrepreneurs is that everyone wants to be business-focused but, he said, for this to happen there needs to be a market-orientated administration.
