Mindelo, Mar 7 (Inforpress) - The head of the list for several times of the Independent and Democratic Cape Verdean Union (UCID, opposition), António Monteiro, said he is still considering another candidacy for the City Council of São Vicente due to family issues.

"It's still under analysis, because there are other demands that mean I can't decide quickly, as I have at other times, family issues," said the national deputy in an interview with Inforpress.

However, according to the same source, the decision should be taken "soon" and then communicated to the party, after which the president, the Permanent Commission and the Political Commission should analyze the case and take the necessary resolutions.

António Monteiro said that conversations with the members of the UCID have shown that they are expecting him to take on this challenge, but for his part, he wants the "full support" of his family.
